The Bank of Lithuania has presented two scenarios for increasing the minimum wage and proposes raising it by 6–12 percent. In this case, workers would receive approximately 74–138 euros more in their hands next year.
The Tripartite Council began discussions on Thursday on the size of the minimum monthly wage (MMA) for 2027. According to the proposal of the Bank of Lithuania (LB), based on the formula agreed upon by the Council, the minimum wage should grow by 6.4 percent in a moderate scenario - 73.6 euros "in hand", and by 12 percent in a faster scenario - 138.1 euros "in hand".
As the Tripartite Council continues discussions on increasing the minimum monthly wage (MMA) from 2027, Andrius Romanovskis, head of the Lithuanian Business Confederation, says that the MMA should grow by no more than 6–7 percent next year. At the same time, according to the proposal of the Bank of Lithuania (LB), the minimum wage should grow by 6.4 percent in a moderate scenario - 73.6 euros "in hand", in a faster scenario - 12 percent.
