Road accidents involving animals, most of them hit, have almost doubled in the last 10 years in the state, from 18,587 in 2015 to 36,087 in 2024, already representing approximately one third of the total road accidents on Spanish roads.
In ten years this type of incidence has doubled, which has led the DGT to present a guide to reduce them in which they propose that drivers receive warnings of risk areas through technology
