- More than 30 activists left San Antonio Wednesday to demand Liam Ramos’s release and inspect Dilley detention conditions, with Reps. Castro and Crockett present.
- Ramos and his father were picked up in Minneapolis last week by masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, whom witnesses said used the child as `bait`, and a federal judge in San Antonio temporarily blocked their deportation on Monday.
- Around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, protesters clashed with law enforcement and were met with chemical irritants, while Sen. Chris Murphy estimates around 400 children are in custody, according to Castro.
- After inspecting the site, Castro and Crockett will hold a 4 p.m. press conference and a community rally is scheduled at Progresso Hall, 1306 Guadalupe St., at 6:30 p.m.
