US electric car manufacturer Tesla's sales fell to 1.64 million vehicles last year from 1.79 million the previous year, the company said in a press release today. Tesla has been replaced as the world's leader in the electric car market by Chinese competitor BYD.
The figures speak for themselves: 1,636 million vehicles delivered in 2025 compared with the previous year. If Tesla does not report the exact figure of 2024, the trend is clear and the last quarter perfectly illustrates this erosion.
