Seven hydrogen buses ignited in the middle of the night this Thursday, January 2, 2025 in Danjoutin (Terroutin de Belfort). The fire has been brought under control and any danger of explosion is now over.

According to local reports, the fire at the Optymo bus depot in Danjoutin broke out at around 2:30 a.m. local time, and loud explosions could be heard several kilometres away. The impressive fire in hydrogen buses on the Belfort Optymo network is now under control this Thursday. From 2 a.m. to 5 a.m., around fifty firefighters were mobilized to deal with the flames. Six buses were completely destroyed and a seventh was very badly damaged. The hydrogen charging station, located about a hundred meters away, was not touched.
