Chaos breaks out in Bornova: Fight between police and shopkeepers over occupation

In the Bornova district of Izmir, an argument between municipal police and shopkeepers over a sidewalk occupation turned into a fight. The incident, in which a disabled citizen was also injured, was recorded by a security camera.

The shopkeepers who reacted to the increase in the occupation fees in the Grand Bazaar did not pay by taking the issue to court. Tension arose between the Fatih Municipality police and the shopkeepers.
