Ten Victorian towns to lose piped gas as operator says network is too expensive

VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA, AUG 4 – Solstice Energy will assist 1,145 customers in switching from compressed natural gas to bottled LPG or electric appliances due to high operating costs and policy shifts.

Solstice Energy says it will switch off its gas pipelines across 10 regional Victorian towns by the end of next year.
