CCTV Appeal After Sexual Assault of Teenage Girl on Train Through Cheshire
Detectives say the man pictured may have key information after a teenage girl was assaulted on the train, and they are asking the public to help identify him.
On Wednesday, July 1, the British Transport Police launched a CCTV appeal seeking to identify a man in connection with a sexual assault of a teenage girl on a train through Cheshire.
The assault occurred on the evening of Saturday, March 14, when a man boarded at Crewe railway station after traveling from Liverpool, sat next to the teenager, and assaulted her before leaving at Manchester Piccadilly.
British Transport Police confirmed the incident occurred more than three months ago on the Crewe to Manchester Line, with investigators now circulating images of the suspect to trace him.
Anyone recognizing the man should contact the British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 639 of March 17, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
