'Kill you in front of your family' | 13-year-old boy says he had group sex with his teacher, whose husband allegedly threatened to kill him

  • Tafadzwa Mushangwe, a 26-year-old SOLUSI High School teacher, was acquitted by Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware of charges involving allegedly fondling a student's manhood.
  • The state alleged that on January 18, Mushangwe summoned a Form 4 student to his office, leading to the alleged incident, but failed to provide sufficient evidence.
  • Jeremy Cotton, a 40-year-old IT teacher at Perins School in Alresford, was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct by the Teaching Regulation Agency for targeting a female pupil.
  • Between 2018 and 2020, Cotton contacted the pupil through Instagram, emails, and handwritten notes, sending approximately 100 messages in a single month and making sexually suggestive comments, despite a formal warning from the school after the girl's parents complained.
  • Cotton, who denied sexually assaulting the pupil in his office, resigned in July 2020, and the TRA imposed an indefinite teaching ban, stating his actions constituted a clear and consistent course of conduct to pursue a sexual relationship with the student, although no charges were brought by Hampshire police after a 2022 interview.
