The Left Alliance's proposal to increase Raisio's income tax rate by 0.5 percentage points to 8.1 was defeated by the city council on Monday by a vote of 8–3, so Mayor Eero Vainio's (sd.) proposal to keep the tax rate unchanged at 7.6 will proceed to the city council for its blessing.
