For a holiday home in the Netherlands, you have to have an increasingly fatter wallet. Owners owe three to four times more tax than five years ago. For a modest chalet, you now pay almost 2000 euros, and a holiday home with three bedrooms on a park on Texel already costs more than €8000 net in tax. "We are being forced to sell."
