The employee was crushed to death while fixing a security system. Target was fined nearly $30,000. It is contesting both the violation and the fine. It was the second death in less than a year at a Target facility. After that death in Massachusetts, Target was issued $176,000 in fines.

PENNSDALE — The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has ordered the Target Corp. to pay nearly $30,000 for two violations related to the workplace crushing death of an employee last year in Lycoming County.Target is contesting the sanctions that resulted from an investigation into the Nov. 1 death of Brianna Burley-Inners, 26, of South Williamsport.
