Since April, petrol stations are allowed to increase their prices only once a day at 12 noon. Now, FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki demands the abolition of the 12 o'clock fuel rule - it causes artificial price jumps and makes fuelling more expensive. What about the allegations?
The tax reduction is still valid until midnight. At noon the prices jump strongly. The differences between the petrol stations are unusually large. Sometimes there were snakes while refueling.
The fuel discount was expensive, inefficient and economically counterproductive. However, the so-called 12 o'clock rule is even more disastrous. From the beginning it was clear that it would do the opposite of what it was supposed to do.
For two months, drivers were able to breathe a little bit through the fuel discount. What remains is the 12 o'clock rule. Is it coming away soon? Politics discussed.
