Big Glass, Power Doors and Phone Chargers That Don't Suck: Audi Previews Q9 Interior
Audi’s first full-size SUV features a production interior with large digital displays, matte finishes and late changes for oversized mug holders, designers said.
On Monday, Audi revealed the interior of its upcoming Q9 flagship SUV, a three-row competitor to the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, ahead of a full world premiere scheduled for July 28.
Audi developed the Q9 to fill a long-standing gap in its lineup, aiming to reclaim its status as a segment leader in premium interior materials and build quality against established rivals.
Advanced tech includes a triple-screen dashboard, power-operated doors with proximity sensors, and a panoramic roof using Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal technology to block more than 99.5% of UV radiation.
Families can choose six- or seven-seat configurations with power-adjustable rows, while the redesigned center console includes larger cupholders capable of holding Stanley mugs for all three rows.
The Q9 launches in the fourth quarter of 2026, positioned as Audi's roomiest model ever to serve the North American market and compete in the full-size luxury SUV segment.
