Taiwan's original Jiashi smart observation system protects the elderly living alone

In the last three years, 757 elderly people died alone at home in Portuguese urban centers. The situations “occurred all over the country” and were brought to the attention of the PSP “through neighbors, family members or friends”

Protecting the safety of elderly people living alone has become an important issue in the super-aged society. Chiayi City Long Term Care Management Center recently created a nationally unique “Smart Observation Service for the Elderly” and “Emergency Rescue Equipment” at the 2025 Smart City Exhibition to create an invisible protection network for the elderly through innovative technology.
