On the 30th, Hitachi, Ltd. and Toshiba held a shipment ceremony for the new "N700ST" train car, ordered by Taiwan High Speed Rail (Taiwan THSR), at Hitachi's Kasado Works in Kudamatsu City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The new train car, based on the latest "N700S" train car of the Tokaido Shinkansen, was unveiled to the press and related parties.
