A hacker group linked to Pakistan used an improved version of the remote access Trojan DRAT V2 to attack Indian government agencies. The group spread malware by forging the Indian Ministry of Defense press release website and expanded the scope of the attack to the railway, oil and gas and other departments. The malware used has multiple functions to steal sensitive data and confuse traceability.
