Addressing the crisis in Sweida, Syrian Information Minister Hamza al-Mustafa said, "The state has a responsibility to protect all its citizens. The chaos in Sweida is not new. The state has been striving to develop political solutions from the very beginning." Mustafa also stated that Syria's policy is based on three pillars: "One homeland, one government, one army. These principles cannot be compromised."
