SylamoreBio Gets $3M Grant for Neurological Research

Jonesboro biotech firm SylamoreBio has received a $3 million research grant from the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. The grant is expected to accelerate the work of Walter Acosta and Tianhong Yang, who are conducting pre-clinical research to develop a therapeutic for GM1 gangliosidosis, a rare, fatal, neurodegenerative disease.
