Switzerland takes on Colombia in Vancouver’s last hurrah at World Cup
Both teams are unbeaten and Colombia enters as a slight favorite after conceding just one goal in four tournament matches, analysts said.
On Tuesday, Vancouver hosts its final 2026 FIFA World Cup match between Colombia and Switzerland, as TSN concludes its outdoor studio coverage from Jack Poole Plaza.
This match follows four weeks of tournament activity, during which Switzerland fans established Vancouver as a de facto home base after their team's three consecutive matches at the stadium.
Hosting costs total up to $729 million, with the federal government providing $100 million in security funding and $116 million from Sport Canada.
Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim said the tournament "will help attract future visitors, future investment, future events and future business opportunities," though assessments may take months to complete.
While local studio broadcasts end, the FIFA Fan Festival continues in East Vancouver until July 19, when the tournament crowns a champion in New Jersey.
