Swimming is possible again in the lake near Chemours after PFAS measures
It is safe to swim again in Merwelanden, a recreational lake in Dordrecht near the Chemours factory. The province of South Holland has withdrawn the negative swimming advice for Plas Merwelanden, which is on the list of 105 designated swimming locations for 2025. In 2023, the province advised against swimming in the lake due to increased concentrations of PFAS.
