- Seaside Heights Fire Department responded shortly after 6:56 p.m. and used a jet ski with a rescue swimmer to save six people, resolving the scene by 7:22 p.m.
- At Community Medical Center in Toms River, staff pronounced the man dead after CPR was performed and he was transported by ambulance, Farrell said.
