The Berlin-based writer and musician Sven Regener becomes Mainz's urban scribe in 2026. He tells "both as a writer and as a musician the great stories in seemingly casual tone," praised the jury.
The musician and writer Sven Regener is honored with the Mainz Stadtschreiberpreis 2026. This also includes an apartment in the old town of Mainz.
He founded the band "Element of Crime" and wrote with "Mr. Lehmann" a bestseller. Now Sven Regener is allowed to live in the Stadtschreiber apartment in Mainz's old town next year.
