Suwannee County OKs 5.28% tax hike
Suwannee County taxpayers will see a slight tax increase in the upcoming fiscal year. During its final budget hearing Monday, the Suwannee County Commission unanimously approved the county’s $204.3 million budget as well as an 8.8-mill tax rate. The millage rate of 8.8 mills is 5.28% above the rollback rate of 8.359 mills. The rollback rate is thetax rate that would generate the same amount of ad valorem tax revenue as the current rate.
