Suspect identified in deaths of 4 people in West TN
NORTHWEST TENNESSEE, JUL 31 – Austin Robert Drummond faces multiple charges including first-degree murder and kidnapping in a case involving four relatives of an abandoned infant, authorities said.
- On Tuesday, four family members were discovered deceased in a wooded area near Tiptonville, Tennessee, shortly after a nearly seven-month-old baby related to them was found alive but abandoned in Dyer County.
- Authorities identified Austin Robert Drummond, 28, as the suspect wanted for first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and firearm offenses in connection with the deaths and the baby abandonment.
- The victims include 21-year-old James M. Wilson and 20-year-old Adrianna Williams, the baby's parents, 38-year-old Cortney Rose, the maternal grandmother, and 15-year-old Braydon Williams, the maternal uncle.
- Law enforcement described Drummond as armed and dangerous, about 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, possibly driving a damaged 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee license plate RI 01896, and urged the public to call 911 or provided hotlines if they have information.
- Authorities have not disclosed a motive and continue investigating the case, while offering up to $15,000 for information leading to Drummond's arrest and emphasize public caution regarding any contact with him.
