- In a move blending experience and excitement, Genat first competed in 2019 and won in 2020, also claiming $9.17 million on Deal or No Deal Island, beginning his hosting in 2026.
- On social media, fans on the Australian Survivor subreddit posted `NOT MY KING` alongside resigned comments, as Genat faced elimination and was announced as host.
- Under the Redemption theme, filming is underway in Samoa for Australian Survivor: Redemption, premiering in 2026, with Genat commentating every challenge and tribal council.
