WARM SPRINGS — Tuesday, the Bath County Board of Supervisors cut more than $500,000 from the requested school budget on a 3-2 vote. Supervisors Ron Shifflett, Lynn Ellen Black, and John Lockridge approved the motion.
The schools requested $7,668,547 — an increase of $456,703, or 6.36 percent. The county’s decision cut that by $516,763. The school system will have until the end of June to cover the difference.
