SUMMIT COUNTY, UTAH, JUL 14 – The 2026 event will feature over 90 features and 50 shorts, celebrating four decades of independent cinema and honoring founder Robert Redford’s legacy.
- The 2026 Sundance Film Festival will run Jan. 22 to Feb. 1 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, as its final Park City edition.
- After a spring 2024 search process considering Salt Lake City and reduced Park City presence, the 2026 festival will mark its final Park City edition before relocating to Boulder in 2027.
- Welcoming 90-plus features and 50-plus shorts, and at-home screenings will feature competition films, including NEXT, online from January 29 to February 1, Eugene Hernandez said.
- The festival will host a celebration fundraiser on January 23 at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, with archival screenings, restorations, and special events honoring Park City, Eugene Hernandez said.
- In his letter, Hernandez emphasized that the local Utah community is crucial to the festival's future, and that it's important to acknowledge all milestones shared in Park City.
