The Bravo cast member said he was hospitalized for self-harm and is now in therapy and taking medication after a Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis.
On Tuesday, May 26, Summer House star KJ Dillard, 29, emotionally revealed during part one of the Season 10 reunion that he was hospitalized and diagnosed with borderline personality disorder after filming his first season.
Dillard's mental health struggles emerged in the fall after Season 10 wrapped in summer 2025, though the professional skateboarder, model, and musician did not expect viewer support when he disclosed his crisis.
Castmates Ciara Miller and Mia Calabrese visited him almost every day during his week-long hospital stay; borderline personality disorder, per the National Institute of Mental Health, affects emotional regulation and makes everyday functioning difficult.
Dillard admitted, "My whole life, I distracted myself and ran away from my issues instead of facing them head-on," but is now committed to therapy and medication, with castmates Jesse Solomon and Carl Radke offering encouragement.
Part two of the reunion airs next Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with Dillard emphasizing his openness aims to help others; the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7 support for those in crisis.
