– Summer holidays and hot weather affect donation activity. At the same time, patients' need for blood does not take a break. Every weekday, including during the holidays, approximately 600–700 voluntary donors are needed to ensure there is enough blood products for everyone, says Johanna Castrén, director of blood donation, in a press release.
