Victims of a conspiracy theory that played out in Bodegraven find it painful that authorities only noticed the urgency of the problems when well-known Dutch people were threatened. Among others, this involved the then RIVM boss Jaap van Dissel. In addition, local authorities did not fully understand the impact on those involved.
