CO2 Concentration in Austria's Classrooms Too High
In Austria's schools, there are problems with air quality: A study by TU Graz commissioned by the Ministry of Education found that in over three-quarters of classrooms, the average CO2 concentration exceeds the guideline value. In winter, this proportion increased to 88 percent in the approximately 1,200 rooms examined, as announced in a press release on Wednesday. Mechanical ventilation systems and inexpensive CO2 sensors could provide a remedy.
