Between 36 and 34 million years ago, just before Antarctica became the ice desert we know today, the seas around it underwent a radical transformation. A team of scientists, including Silvio Casadio, a geologist and professor at Andrés Bello University, dug up key clues to understand that climate change that marked the beginning of the great Antarctic glaciation.
