CUPE 5040 representing the Foothills School Division began their picket lines on Feb. 24. The strike came after a majority (82 per cent) of Educational Assistants (EAs) voted in favour of a strike for increased wages. The EAs, which include assistants, librarians, and office staff, but excludes custodians, in Alberta are fed up with their wages.
