Stolen weapons recovered in Maryland after burglary at Virginia gun store: police
- Early Monday morning, three suspects crashed a stolen pickup truck into Dominion Defense gun store at 7200 Fullerton Road in Springfield, Virginia, and stole multiple weapons before fleeing the scene around 1:30 a.m.
- The gun store had a previous issue where people broke in and stole guns in September and May of 2023.
- A total of 21 firearms, including 19 handguns and 2 long guns, were stolen during the break-in, with the suspects heard on video saying, "break this one, break this one."
- Following the burglary, two 16-year-old suspects were apprehended in Gaithersburg, Maryland, while police continue to search for the third suspect and the remaining eight of the 21 stolen firearms.
- In a separate incident, Manuel De Jesus Guirola-Amaya, a 20-year-old Honduras native unlawfully present in the U.S., was arrested in connection with the December 5, 2024, burglary of Golden Eagle Pawn in Dickson, Tennessee, where more than 40 firearms were stolen.
