Troopers said the crash occurred between a marked state police cruiser and a car on Route 5 at Eatonville Road in Herkimer at about 11:17 a.m. Friday. Both the trooper and the other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Wynn Hospital in Utica, authorities said. The identities of those involved were not released.

Herkimer, N.Y. — A two-car crash in Herkimer involving a State Police patrol car injured two people, troopers said. The crash happened around 11:17 a.m. Friday on Route 5 at Eatonville Road in Herkimer, said RJ Girard, a spokesperson for State Police.
