State inmate dies at Lincoln County Jail, sheriff says self-inflicted - Daily Leader

A State of Mississippi inmate and Lincoln County sheriff’s trusty has died in the county jail from apparent suicide, according to Sheriff Steve Rushing. Rushing was notified at approximately 7:30 a.m. Wednesday that Matthew Byrd, 43, was discovered unresponsive in his cell by other inmates.
