The massive power outage that hit a large part of the Czech Republic in early July is starting to take on clearer contours – and also specific culprits. ČEZ CEO Daniel Beneš has intervened in the case and has officially written a letter calling on the Energy Regulatory Office to investigate the incident. According to him, ČEPS, the state-owned transmission system operator, failed fatally in the crisis situation.
