Montana AG Knudsen Leads Coalition Urging Senate to Confirm Todd Blanche
The coalition says Blanche has focused on public safety and federal enforcement, citing an 80% Supreme Court win rate under his leadership.
Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen led a 23-state coalition urging the U.S. Senate to confirm Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche as the next attorney general.
Knudsen sent the letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley and Ranking Member Richard Durbin to advocate for Blanche's confirmation based on his professional record.
The coalition noted the Department of Justice won 80% of its cases before the Supreme Court under Blanche, while federal law enforcement intensified efforts against violent crime and terrorism.
Attorneys from Alabama, Florida, Texas, and South Carolina emphasized that Blanche prioritizes public safety, fraud involving taxpayer dollars, and collaboration with state Attorneys general.
The letter asserts that Americans expect government protection from violent crime and narcotics trafficking, claiming Blanche has demonstrated the ability to deliver measurable results.
