The Airbus A350-1000 seats 350 across four classes and enables new direct flights to North America and Europe, with five more deliveries planned in 2026.
- On Jan. 6, Starlux Airlines received its first Airbus A350-1000, aircraft registration B-58551, delivered Monday to Starlux Chairman Chang Kuo-wei at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, before arriving Tuesday at Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan.
- With a maximum range of 15,600 km, the Airbus A350-1000 is expected to support Starlux Airlines' expansion with direct US East Coast flights and will enter service in February on select Asia and North America routes.
- Configured in four classes, the A350-1000 offers 4 first, 40 business, 36 premium economy, and 270 economy seats, totaling 350, and Starlux's fleet now totals 30 aircraft.
- Starlux CEO Glenn Chai said the delivery marks entry into a larger, more competitive long-haul market, and Starlux leadership remarks on network expansion using Taipei as its main hub.
- Starlux has 18 A350-1000s on order, expects five deliveries in 2026, and has ordered 10 A350F freighters as China Airlines and EVA Air hold 15 and 24 A350-1000s respectively.
