On Sunday, the Second Round of Elections for the Mayors of Zagreb, Split and Rijeka

Citizens of the three largest Croatian cities, Zagreb, Split and Rijeka, will elect mayors in the second round of local elections on Sunday, since none of the candidates in the first round two weeks ago won more than 50 percent of the votes cast.

Croatia will hold the second round of local elections on Sunday, which will also determine the mayors of the country's three largest cities. The most interesting race will be in Rijeka, which the largest opposition party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), lost in the first round after decades of rule.
