Historic lodge in Qualicum Beach saved from demolition and restored for public use

A historic lodge on the shores of mid-Vancouver Island is set to reopen on Saturday, saved from demolition by the dedication of hundreds of volunteers who donated their time to preserve the building and open it for community use.

St. Andrews Lodge restoration in Qualicum Beach to be celebrated this weekend

The society that helped restore St. Andrews Lodge, which hosted tourists in Qualicum Beach for decades, is inviting the public to its grand reopening. During the past six years a host of volunteers have worked to save and restore the lodge that was set to be demolished.
