Springfield neighbors look within for solutions to gun violence

SPRINGFIELD — Ending gun violence will require strengthening the city’s communities and families, participants in a public forum said Thursday.That work was already beginning during the event and after it, as parents, faith leaders and nonprofit organizers made connections. They spoke about ways to combine their efforts to support, educate and provide opportunities for Black and Latino young men in Springfield.
