Spectrum poetry: Colm Tóibín

Colm Tóibín, born 1955 in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland, lives in Dublin and New York. He is a journalist, writer and literary critic and is one of Ireland's most well-known authors. Most recently his novel "Long Island" (2024) was published in German. The poems are from his volume "Vinegar Hill" (Edition Lyrik Kabinett bei Hanser). Michael Krüger and Volker Schlöndorff have translated them from English.
