South London McDonald’s closed ‘until further notice’ after fire rips through roof

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters flocked to the scene at the The Quadrant on Saturday (June 1) at around 1.45pm. The roof was found to be on fire which damaged part of the loft space of the fast-food restaurant. The building was evacuated before the brigade arrived on scene and the surrounding roads were closed. There were no reports of any injuries and crews from Kingston, Chiswick, Twickenham and Heston brought it under control by 3.40pm.
