Amy Vilardi and her husband were arrested and charged with a quadruple murder in Anderson County, South Carolina, eight years after the crime shook the community.
The couple has maintained their innocence for years, but the sheriff stated that they have been on the police radar.
The Vilardis previously sued the sheriff's office, seeking the return of property that had no evidentiary value and was worth over $100,000.
The bodies of Cathy Taylor Scott, 60, Violet Taylor, 82, Mike Scott, 58, and Mike's mother, Barbara Scott, 80, were found dead in their home in Pendleton, South Carolina
