Record $90M Lotto Max Jackpot Won in Alberta, OLG Says
OLG said the jackpot rose after several winner-less draws, and officials have not said whether one person or a group won the prize.
On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, a Lotto Max ticket sold in Alberta won Canada's largest lottery jackpot of $90 million, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation confirmed.
The record-breaking prize follows a rule change six months ago raising the maximum Lotto Max jackpot to $90 million from $80 million, enabling the pot to grow after several unclaimed draws.
Winning numbers for Tuesday were 08, 15, 19, 23, 26, 28, 34, with bonus 38; Ontario players also claimed three Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each and multiple MaxPlus tickets.
OLG officials urge players to check tickets via the lottery app or at retailers; the corporation has not yet confirmed whether one or multiple winners claimed the Alberta jackpot.
The $90 million prize surpasses Canada's previous lottery record of $85 million and the $80.4 million jackpot split by two Ontario residents in December 2025, establishing a new milestone.
