Nintendo Switch 2 Will Support Regular USB Mice in at Least One Game
- The Nintendo Switch 2 will support using a regular USB mouse in at least one game, as demonstrated in a recent Koei Tecmo video.
- This feature emerged from a developer commentary for Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition, where the producer plugged in a USB mouse during gameplay.
- The demo showed the Switch 2 recognizing the mouse with an onscreen message, allowing seamless switching between the USB mouse and Joy-Con 2 controller.
- Producer Michi Ryu explained that after plugging in a USB mouse, a notification will show up in the upper-left corner of the screen to confirm the connection, and the mouse will then take precedence over the Joy-Con controller.
- This capability suggests Nintendo aims to expand control options on Switch 2, potentially improving gameplay for RTS and RPG titles, though support may vary by game.
