This declaration follows a landslide that occurred in November 2024, which resulted in the tragic death of a five-year-old girl. The SIB has recommended the demolition of the Pasajahuira River vault and investments in engineering works to prevent future landslides in the area.

The Society of Engineers of Bolivia (SIB) warned this Tuesday that the area Bajo Llojeta, of the city of La Paz, is not habitable after the landslide that occurred due to the intense rains that affected several houses and caused the death of a 5 year old girl, in November last year.
