EASTERN WISCONSIN, AUG 3 – Air Quality Advisories remain in effect as dense smoke covers eastern Wisconsin and easterly winds may briefly worsen conditions before showers bring cleaner air, officials said.

Today will look to be one last smoky day for most of the Northland, with the south wind bringing in cleaner air by the afternoon and evening. Highs top out in the low 70s for most this afternoon, and by the time we get to the late afternoon, we will start to see the first round of showers sliding in.
